PA-0800304 OF ROGER AND <br /> CATHERINE TOWERS. (APN: 265-090-09, 265-090-08; 37100 S. <br /> KOSTER ROAD, TRACY) <br /> This is a Site Approval application for a single family residence of up to 12,00j(square <br /> feet and a temporary Corporation Yard for 10 trucks and trailers and an 8,100 square <br /> foot maintenance shop. The site is located on the east side of Koster Road, 3,500 feet <br /> south of Blewett Road, southeast of Tracy. The site includes APN 265-090-09 and a <br /> portion of 265-090-08. <br /> This item would ordinarily be acted on by the Community Development Department. <br /> However, because the Board of Supervisors denied an earlier request for residences at <br /> this site, this item will be referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> Background <br /> On September 12, 2002, the Community Development Department approved a Site <br /> j Approval application (PA=0200306) to construct four single family residences on three <br /> parcels, including the project parcels. On January 9, 2003, upon appeal, the Planning <br /> Commission denied the Site Approval application. Upon appeal to the Board of <br /> Supervisors, the Board letter stated: <br /> The Planning Commission voted 4-1 to uphold the appeal and deny Site <br /> Approval Application No. PA-03-06 due to the inability to make Finding No. 5. <br /> Finding No. 5 states: "The use is compatible with adjoining land uses." The <br /> Commission expressed concerns regarding water pollution, trucks on Koster <br /> road, dust, noise and vibrations." . <br /> Because over one year has passed since the Board action, the applicant may apply <br /> again for a residential use at this site. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> 1 <br />
