Gilton Resource Recovery
Food By-Product / Feed Production Site
Odor Impact Minimization Plan
E. Airborne Emission Production
The Site will utilize several vehicles and pieces of equipment in its operations.
Plus GRR has a large inventory of trucks, tractors, sweepers, trailers, and water
trucks that can be accessed at any time to support the Site operations. All the
on-road vehicles meet DMV and San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution District
requirements. All roadways on the Site will be maintained to minimize any dust
and/or track-out problems. The size and nature of the material being dried is not
such that it produces air borne emissions.
F. Pad and Site Drainage
The Site is designed to control water from storm events and will be maintained to
prevent and/or control any standing water. No water will be discharged off-site.
G. Vector Controls
NOTE: Although vectors (rodents, flies, etc.) are not generally part of an odor
impact minimization plan, we would like to provide some information regarding
the subject.
It has been our experience that the materials that are preprocessed prior to
delivery to the Site do not in fact either attract or cause the propagation of any
vectors. The material contains little moisture and does not support fly breeding.
In addition we have seen no evidence of any type of rodent problems with the
products while being dried or stored at this location. But should at any time
circumstances arise that there where there is evidence of vector breeding, we
would contract with license pest control services to deal with the problem.
H. Personnel Training
All Site personnel have been trained in subjects pertinent to their jobs and to Site
operation and maintenance. Training includes on-site safety, the protocols listed
in this OIMP, load checking procedures and heavy equipment operations.
O/MP
Page 5
2012-126 Attachments Attachment No 3-OIMP 12-06-20.doc
