Doesit appear that any environmental feature of the project will <br /> generate significant public concern or controversy. <br /> The question was checked no obviously this was an error as Peaker <br /> Plants in the project area provide a great deal of public concern from the <br /> City of Tracy residents who reside near the project. Because of the <br /> expediated review and the Community Development Departments failure to <br /> recognize that the project was in Tracy's sphere of influence city officials <br /> and residents were not informed of the project. <br /> 2) Will the project require approval or permits by agencies other <br /> than the County? <br /> On the original initial study this was checked no but the project in fact <br /> required approval from the SJVAPCD. The project no longer has a valid <br /> permit from the Pollution Control District and conditions in the project area <br /> have changed with the addition of three other power projects within six <br /> miles of the project. At the time of the application the project was also <br /> encumbered by the Williamson Act and the Department of Conservation <br /> should have been consulted.
