Vol
OF 317°A
to _ % CITY OF TRACY
Department of Development and Engineering Services
 520 Tracy Boulevard Telephone: (209) 831-4600
° Tracy, California 95376 Fax: (209) 831-4606
March 22; 2005
Mr. Nazim Saiyed
11299 W. Larch Road
Tracy, CA 95377
RE: STATUS OF "WILL SERVE" LETTER FOR 11299 W. LARCH ROAD, TRACY, CA
ISSUED ON MARCH 3, 2005
Dear Mr. Saiyed:
With reference to City's conditional will serve letter of March 3, 2005, this letter is to provide you
with an update on the status of the "will serve" letter and related sewer project. Unfortunately,
there are conditions with regard to construction of the sewer line that will adversely impact the
City's ability to serve your property.
The proposed sewer line to be constructed in the Larch Clover area was to be partly funded
from the Assessment District and partly from the Sate Revolving Fund (SRF) and Community
Block Development Grant fund. The application for SRF was submitted to the State in
September 2004. Our consultant, Harris & Associates, has been coordinating with the State to
acquire the needed funding. The City has been informed by the State that, at this time, no
funds are available through the SRF program and they do not know when funds will be
available. With the lack of funding from the State, the proposed sewer project for the Larch
Clover area cannot be constructed unless another source of funding can be found.
Depending upon the timing of the availability of State or alternate funds, the overall cost of the
project may increase substantially due to increase in construction cost; thus, resulting in larger
funding shortfall. The status of the project will be reviewed and updated at that time with the
available fund. It appears probable that the sewer line will not be constructed this year.
The City cannot provide service to your property until such time as the sewer line is constructed.
The City is also advising San Joaquin County in this regard. Please feel free to call me at (209)
831-4600 if you have any questions or need further information.
Sincerely,
Kul Sharma
City Engineer
cc: Dan Bilbrey, Mayor
Zane Johnston, Interim City Manager
Kerry Sullivan, San Joaquin County Community Development Director
Jeff Fisher, Associate Planner, San Joaquin County
Bill Reeds, Director of DES
Cris Mina, Senior Civil Engineer
Alan Bell, Senior Planner
