`%so *400,
Pedro Huarte MS-92-65 , 4 Parcels
Soil Profile Test :
Excavation to a depth of ten ( 10) feet below the ground
surface was performed for the Soil Profile investigation on Lot 3
at the location shown on the attached "Parcel Map" . By visual
inspection the soil appears to be a grayish-brown sandy loam
material throughout the ten feet of depth . The material from 7 1 /2
feet to 10 feet , however , was a lighter color and much drier and
more tightly compacted than the material above it . Much effort and
patience had to be expended to complete the bottom 2 1/2 feet of
excavation to get the full 10 feet of depth with hand operated
tools .
No water was encountered in excavating to the 10-foot depth .
The San Joaquin County Flood Control And Water Conservation Map
entitled "Lines Of Equal Depth To Water Wells" dated Fall 1990
shows the water to be in excess of 40 feet below the ground
surface .
Percolation Tests :
Four (4) percolation test holes , one ( 1 ) on each of the four
(4) subject lots were excavated to about a 3-foot depth . The
location of the four test holes are shown on the attached "Parcel
Map" .
All percolation tests conducted were performed in accordance
with the percolation test procedures outlined in the "Manual Of
Septic Tank Practice" published by the Department Of Health
Education And Welfare and the requirements of the San Joaquin
County Public Health Service , Environmental Health Division .
On April 1 and 2 , 1992 , four percolation tests were performed
on the subject property under my direction in conformance with the
San Joaquin County Public Health Service, Environmental Health
Division regulations and the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code
Standards .
Percolation Test Hole Nos . 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 resulted in the
percolation rates and determinations shown on the attached "Field
Note Sheets" and are tabulated as follows :
Lot No. Test Hole Percolation Rate Minimum Usable _
No . Minutes Per inch _ Disposal Area
(Square Feet)
1 1 30 . 0 10 , 000
2 2 7 . 5 6 , 000
3 3 12 . 0 8 , 000
4 4 5 . 5 6 , 000
Soil Suitability Study 3
