A five-gallon bucket of waste oil
and various small quantities of painting supplies were observed within the on-site storage structures.
Several 55-gallon drums used for trash/refuse burning were noted within the southwesterly residential
area. Two (partial 55-gallon drums) containing apparent waste oil were noted in this residential area;
no evidence of soil staining was observed beneath these containers.
G
An approximate 500-gallon above-ground diesel tank with secondary containment is situated within =
the southwesterly residential area; we understand that this tank provides fuel for the on-site farming = -
equipment. Our observations of this tank did not reveal any obvious leaks; however, notable surface
stains on soils outside.this containment (near.the tank's fill-port). Rainwater laden with diesel fuel
{` was observed within the secondary containment structure. It would appear that the soil staining may
/extend to depths greater than four inches. Communications with the property owner, Mr. Bruce
Towne, indicate that this staining is likely related to past overfilling of the diesel tank.
/During our recent reconnaissance we observed two electric irrigation pumps and two domestic water
wells on the subject property within the on-site rural farm residential areas. We understand that the
+ irrigation pumps draw directly from the westerly adjacent Mokelumne River.
I Our reconnaissance of the property identified no distressed vegetation.
