RECIEVED COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br /> �J�J STOCKTON DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION <br /> s' // �METROPOL/TAN APR 2 4 2007 Barry A.RondinL414 AAE,CAE <br /> /�//� AIRPORT Airport Director <br /> Community Development Dept, <br /> April 20, 2007 <br /> Ms. Corrine King <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Community Development Department <br /> 1810 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Subject: Application No. PA-0700148 (MS) <br /> Dear Ms. King: <br /> This site is approximately 1.5 miles from Runway 29R/l IL at the Stockton Metropolitan <br /> Airport and will be subject to sound and over-flight by aircraft utilizing the Airport. <br /> Please be aware the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has directed County staff <br /> to study the boundaries of an Airport Protection Area(APA)that may preclude new <br /> residential development within the APA boundaries. One of the dimensions to be studied <br /> included all areas within a two-mile radius of the Airport. Additionally, this site is in the <br /> outer limits of Zone 6 of the ALUC Airport Safety Zoning Plan/Land Use Plan included <br /> in the Airport Layout Plan set of drawings. Zone 6 is the traffic pattern zone on the <br /> Airport and the State recommends the following limits on land use in these areas: <br /> Maximum Population Density Use— 150 per acres <br /> Residential Land Use—4 to 6 units per acre <br /> Special Function—Avoid more than 150 people per acre <br /> Thank you again for the opportunity to comment on this proposed action.
