SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY Introduction Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Hal Robertson to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the for the Robertson property located at 29467 South Lehman Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1). The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. Proposed Development A minor subdivision is proposed to split the Site into one parcel and a designated remainder (Plate 2). A new home site will be placed on the property; the Site uses will otherwise remain unchanged. Site Description The Site is a 38.70-acre property, Assessor's Parcel Numbei!JAPN) 253-330740. The County project application number is PA-1000105. It consists of a waknu orchard with a barn. An irrigation canal crosses the hwest corner of the Site. A recent aerial photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is approximately 88 to 97 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the area slopes downward gently toward the east (Plate 4). The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation°is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." Past Uses of the Site Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed, the Site has been orchard or agricultural land since 1940 or earlier.
