SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Hal Robertson to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the for the Robertson property located at 29467 <br /> South Lehman Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1). <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to split the Site into one parcel and a designated <br /> remainder (Plate 2). A new home site will be placed on the property; the Site uses will <br /> otherwise remain unchanged. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is a 38.70-acre property, Assessor's Parcel Numbei!JAPN) 253-330740. The <br /> County project application number is PA-1000105. It consists of a waknu orchard with a <br /> barn. An irrigation canal crosses the hwest corner of the Site. A recent aerial <br /> photograph of the Site is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 88 to 97 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the <br /> area slopes downward gently toward the east (Plate 4). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation°is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed, the Site has been orchard or <br /> agricultural land since 1940 or earlier.
