Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage Existing Septic System No septic systems are currently located on the Site. Proposed Septic System A home will be placed on the new home site parcel in the future; it will utilize a new septic system On-Site Septic Permit History No permit for septic systems on the Site were identified at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery from GoogleEarthTM was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there is a minimum of nine septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site. The general area primarily consists of farmland with occasional rural residences. Septic Permit History in the Vicinity Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, the septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach lines. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from future residential uses. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards (2003) or other engineering recommendations. Ground Water Information Depth and Gradient Live Oak reviewed ground water elevation information available from the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to determine the ground water levels near the Site.
