August 9, 2007 <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> RAUSSER PROPERTY <br /> 11964 EAST LIBERTY ROAD <br /> GALT, CALIFORNIA 95632 <br /> SJC APPLICATION NUMBER: PA-06-044 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Neil 0. Anderson & Associates (NOA) has been retained by Greg Rausser of Galt, to <br /> prepare a Soil Suitability Study for the property identified as 11964 East Liberty Road, <br /> Galt, California. <br /> The soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are <br /> suitable for use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the <br /> requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. A major <br /> element of the field work included conducting percolation tests that meet the required <br /> absorption rates as required by San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, <br /> geologic maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability <br /> of soils for use with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest <br /> degree possible, the EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, <br /> dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Description of Site <br /> The subject property is located on the southwest corner of Elliot and Liberty Road in <br /> Galt, California. The property consists of a rectangular, approximately 80-acre parcel <br /> (APN 007-130-10). The address associated with the subject property parcel is 11964 <br /> East Liberty Road. One single-family residence and two barns are located at the <br /> northeast corner of the property. To the west of the barns is a small area with 80-100 <br /> cows; the remainder of the site is a vacant field.
