This zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the <br /> continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us, 2007). <br /> 1.2 Proposed Development <br /> A tentative parcel map showing the proposed parcel division was provided to NOA by <br /> Baumbach and Piazza of Lodi; according to this map, (Plate 1), the proposed <br /> development is to create a 2.3-acre home site at the northeast corner of the subject <br /> property. The remaining 72 acres will be the second parcel. <br /> 1.3 Site Vicinity <br /> A site vicinity map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 2. <br /> , 1.4 Site Map <br /> A site map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 1. <br /> L 1/2.0 PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE <br /> ' 2.1 Past and Present Site Use <br /> Mr. Rausser indicated that his parents acquired the property in the 1940's. The property <br /> has contained a residence since 1958. The barn on the site was built in 1954, and the <br /> home was built in 1958. Mr. Rausser also indicated that his father had transformed <br /> much of the property in the 1950's by leveling the land and turning the meandering <br /> creek into an irrigation canal. He stated that there had been a house to the west of the <br /> existing residence which was demolished in the late 1950's or early 1960's.
