Rausser Property Page 12 of 14
Our Project Number: E07121A
August 8, 2007
Measurement of the water level during the percolation test was from a fixed reference
point on the PVC casing using an electric well sounder with an depth accuracy of
1/100th foot. All tabulated values on the field data sheet (appendix) are in decimal
feet. After water drop was observed, the holes were checked for refill. The refill level
was approximately 0.5 ft (6 inches) of water above the bottom level of the percolation
test hole. The readings were taken every 30 minutes for a period of four hours.
6.6 Percolation Test Forms and Results
The completed percolation test forms are included in the appendix of this report.
A shallow percolation test is defined by the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches in
depth; a satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60
minutes per inch drop. One percolation test must demonstrate a satisfactory
percolation rate within the proposed septic system disposal field of each parcel to utilize
a standard septic system. Details of the percolation tests are summarized in the table
below.
Table 3
Summary of Percolation Tests.
Test No., Percolation Percolation Test Comment
Date Tested Test Depth Rate Duration (see notes)
(ft) (minutes/inch)
P-1 shallow Satisfactory percolation
7-19-07 3.30 4-hr rate
P-2 shallow 3.15 11 4-hr Satisfactory percolation
7-19-07 rate
Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a "shallow"test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch
6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal areas of Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 have demonstrated
a satisfactory percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the
use of a standard septic system.
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic System construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater
Disposal Standards where applicable.
` 902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc.
