2.2 Pro osed Development
It is proposed to split the Site into and ur new parcels and a designated remainder.
No change in Site uses is anticipated.
2.3 Topo-graphy
A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map was obtained from the
San Joaquin County District Viewer. In the map, the Site is depicted as open land. Two
structures are depicted near the southeast corner of the Site, and two wells are shown
near the center. The property is located at an elevation of approximately 140 to 170
feet above mean sea level and is somewhat hilly. Surrounding properties are shown to
be open land. This map is included as Plate 3 in Appendix 1.
3.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH
3.1 Aerial Photographs
Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County
Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1937,
1952, 1963, 1975, and 1983. Two additional photographs, dated October 1998 and
June 2007, were obtained from the San Joaquin County District Viewer.
In the 1937 photo, the Site and vicinity appear to be dry grazing land. Liberty and Dry
Creek Roads can be seen.
In the 1952 photo, the Site appears to have been leveled and planted with row or fodder
crops. A vacant area is present at the southeast corner. An object (most likely the
former irrigation well) can be seen on the eastern field road).
In the 1963 photo, several small structures or vehicles can be seen at the southeast
corner of the Site. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 1975 and 1983 photos, two small structures can be more clearly seen at the
southeast corner of the Site. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 1998 photo, the Site appears to be a vineyard. A residence and paved parking
area can be seen in the southeast corner of the Site. Several other structures are also
present. The two irrigation wells on the Site can be clearly seen. New field roads can
be seen, including one leading on to the western side of the Site from Liberty Road. A
residence is present on the adjacent property to the west.
LOGE1033 Page 2
