Anderson& Associates, Inc.
between the depths of 3 to 25 feet to locate a suitable soil for the proposed septic field. All the
drilling was done on May 1, 2002 with the exception of Parcel 4 (the deep boring) which was
done on May 10, 2002. With the exception of proposed Parcel No. 4, two borings were drilled
on each parcel which included a 3-foot percolation test hole and a deeper percolation test hole.
Proposed Parcel No. 4 contained three borings whose depths were 3 feet, 3.5 feet and 25 feet.
The deepest depth of drilling was 25-feet as specified by the percolation test requirements of SJC
` PHS-EHD. No ground water was encountered in any of the borings.
Generally the soils encountered during the drilling was very similar to the soil described
in the San Joaquin County Soil Report. The soils were commonly silt, sand, clay, and gravel
mixtures with a soil matrix that was commonly composed of fine grained soil such as clay or silt.
The clay and silt size material in the soil matrix tend to reduce the percolation potential of the
soil even when it has considerable sand or gravel.
Two percolation tests were conducted on each lot with the exception of proposed Parcel
No. 4. Proposed Parcel No. 4 had one(1) shallow test and two(2)deep tests. The shallow test
was set at a depth of three(3) feet as prescribed by the SJC PHS-EHD. A deep boring was
drilled to determine the most favorable soil to a maximum depth of 25-feet. Both borings
6' (shallow and deep)were set a several feet apart.
 ' VFRSOi
O,S®~
