7 ANNA R. THOMAS
1001 W. Lincoln Rd., Unit A
Stockton, CA 95207
******************************************************************
April 11 , 2005
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Sirs:
I do not feel that having a child care center for 30 children open at
1 104 W. Lincoln Road is a wise plan.
During the hours when people are going to work and when parents and
buses are dropping children off at the Lincoln School and children are using
the crosswalks at the corner of Gettysburg and Lincoln Road, traffic is
chaotic.
I live at 1001 W. Lincoln Road and trying to leave our driveway and
make a left turn onto Lincoln Road during these hours is not only close to
impossible, but hazardous, as well. A child care center at the above address
would add to an already frantic traffic situation.
It it my belief that such a center should be at a location where the
vehicles dropping off children are able to pull off of the road avoiding
further congestion on the street.
I urge that the application be denied.
Very truly yours,
Anna R.
