LAND USE CONSISTENCY REVIEW This project includes a Minor Subdivision application to allow for 17 lot minor subdivision. The project is located in the southwest corner of Linne and Kasson Rd., within the unincorporated lands of San Joaquin County. The entire project is located within New Jerusalem Airport's Airport Influence Area(AIA) with portions also within the Inner Turning Zone (3), Outer Approach Departure Zone (4), and Traffic Pattern Zone (7) as shown in the exhibit located on page three. The residential land uses proposed are compatible with the 2009 ALUCP Safety Zones for New Jerusalem Airport. The following are standards and project design conditions specific to compliance with the ALUCP and should be carried through as conditions of approval: This is not a mitigation request. These are project design conditions that are required as part of compliance with the 2009 ALUCP: 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to aircraft in flight shall not be permitted within any airport's influence area. Specific characteristics to be avoided include: o Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights. Reflective materials are not permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic-directing signs); o Sources of dust, steam, or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; o Sources of electrical interference with aircraft communications or navigation. No transmissions which would interfere with aircraft radio communications or navigational signals are permitted. o Any proposed use, especially landfills and certain agricultural uses, that creates an increased attraction for large flocks of birds.
