Surface&Subsurface Contamination Report Page 13
700 W.Linne Rd.,Tracy
Project No. 662.1
February 11,2013
in 1997 and the investigation was closed in 1999. No details of a remedial investigation
were available to review in the County EHD records. According to the EDR report Paulson
Farms operated up to 12 tanks on the Property, but county records do not confirm this. It is
likely the EDR report is in error on this point.
Several adjacent or nearby farms parcels were identified in the EDR database report as
facilities that operated permitted underground fuel tanks, but none of the sites have reported
a hazardous release. Sites of such tanks are identified 1777 W. Linne, 28855 S. Koster, 1560
W. Linne, and 29141 S. Koster. A site at 1660 W. Linne reported a surface release of fuel.
The release was investigated, adequately mitigated, and officially closed.
Based on the results of the EDR report, it was not deemed necessary to further investigate
off-site facilities.
3.2 State Well Records
The State Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources maintains records of oil and gas
drilling and production. Maps created by the agency indicate that three step-out gas wells
were drilled on the Property as shown in the first site map of Appendix A. Documents
specific to the wells (Appendix E) indicate Great Basins Petroleum drilled them beginning in
1970. One of the wells was abandoned as a "dry hole" and was abandoned in accordance
with procedures established by the agency. The other two were completed as gas producers
but are currently idle. According to DOG records, the wells were drilled in accordance with
State standards intended to protect the public and groundwater aquifers. The documents are
attached as Appendix E.
3.3 Local Records Sources
Five sources of information were accessed at the local level. Files from the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department, Agricultural Commission, Office of Emergency
Services, and Assessor's Office were requested. Air photos were acquired at the San Joaquin
County Public Works Department.
County EHD Records
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department was contacted in writing to
request access to records documenting environmental conditions on subject Property. On
January 25, 2013, the available records were examined at the agency offices at 1868
Hazelton in Stockton. Records pertaining to former underground fuel tanks and to the
domestic water well and septic systems were found to review.
