HAZELTON AVENUE, STOCKTON CA 95205 <br /> �4�)xakt+°' BUSINESS PHONE: (209) 468-3121 <br /> Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) <br /> APPLICATION PROCESSING STEPS <br /> STEP 1 CHECK WITH STAFF -Development Services Staff will explain the requirements and procedures to you. <br /> STEP 2 SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION -When you apply,file all of the following: <br /> • FEE The staff will let you know the current cost of filing an application. Make checks payable to the <br /> San Joaquin County Treasurer. <br /> • FORM Seven (7) copies of the completed application information forms (attached)which all owners must <br /> sign. <br /> • APPLICATION Staff will check your application. If anything is missing, you will be notified in writing. The <br /> COMPLETE applicant will be sent a postcard once the application has been determined complete. (Your <br /> application cannot be processed until it is complete.) <br /> STEP 3 APPLICATION PROCESSING <br /> • CEQA The County will decide if the proposal will have an adverse effect on the environment. If there are <br /> no adverse effects, the application will be processed. If there are potential adverse effects, further <br /> environmental review will be required. Projects that have the potential to adversely affect the <br /> environment will require the preparation of an E.I.R. This may extend the processing time. <br /> • REFERRALS Staff will refer the application to any County departments, or other agencies affected by your <br /> AND ACTION proposal. <br /> The Review Authority(i.e. Director of the Community Development Department, Planning <br /> Commission, or Board of Supervisors)which initially required the conditions(s)will be the one <br /> which reconsiders the condition(s) and takes action on your application. If, however, the request <br /> is to amend or correct a Final Map, the Planning Commission will review the request. The Review <br /> Authority will confine the review to consideration of, and action on, the proposed modification. <br /> If the Review Authority is the Director of the Community Development Department the <br /> Development Services Division will send a notice to you and to surrounding property owners of the <br /> Director's intent to approve or deny your application by a specified date. If the review Authority is <br /> the Planning Commission or the Board of Supervisors, the Development Services Division will <br /> send a notice to you and to surrounding property owners regarding the date and time of the public <br /> hearing to consider your application. <br /> • FINAL ACTION The action of the Director of the Community Development Department can be appealed to the <br /> Planning Commission. The action of the Planning Commission can be appealed to the Board of <br /> Supervisors. For further information on the length of the appeal period and the requirements and <br /> procedures for filing an appeal, contact the staff <br /> STEP 4 CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL PERMITS <br /> The Development Services Division will notify you of the action taken on the proposed <br /> modification.
