Lockeford.
The drawing on the back of the notice is not to scale and appears to minimize the objects depicted while
expanding the true size of the lot.
I am concerned that any expansion of the buildings or the placing of vehicles "For Sale" on that property
will create an extra hazard for traffic trying to enter highway 88/12 from Locke Road Westbound.
The current configuration of the intersection of 88/12 and Locke Rd make it extremely difficult to
observe oncoming (Eastbound) traffic requiring the drivers to east out into the traffic lanes of 88 in order
to determine when it is safe to proceed.
Prior owners had placed a business sign which blocked the view (Since removed) and the current owners
had a "Alpine Drywall " sign which tended to block the view for some drivers.
Not all vehicles are large enabling the drivers to see over the signs.
The Locke Road intersection is Off Set so that Eastbound traffic and Westbound traffic have to be very
careful when trying to enter highway 88. Increasing the amount of vehicular traffic entering from a third
location after washing their car compounds the problem. Then if you add parked cars there as well (cars
for sale)you are asking for a major collision.
If used car sales of the past are any indication, it wont be long until the cars are parked alongside
highway 88 for sale and in violation of the vehicle code.
I have to ask, How many business do they want to run out of that tiny location? It is hard enough to get
past Robinson's Feed Store during the day as they jam up Locke Road loading and unloading their trucks
and cars.
I respectfully request that the application be denied.
Noel Stetson
01/29/2003
