L
December 2,2005
NOA Project Number: E05139A
L non-detect results for BTEX. In a letter dated October 19, 1993, San Joaquin County Public Health
Services indicated that it "concurs with the conclusions and recommendations of the report." The
CVRWQCB included this site on a list of"no further action" sites in a letter dated Match 19, 1996.
LFiles for Rosetti's Service, located across Escalon-Bellota and Lone Tree Roads from the subject
property, were reviewed at the EHD on November 29,2005. The file contained a letter from the EHD
L dated October 16, 1998 stating that"no further action" is required. According to a 1998 letter from
the CVRWQCB,two 3,000-gallon unleaded gasoline,one 7,000-gallon leaded gasoline,and one 1,000-
gallon unleaded gasoline/diesel tank were removed from the site in 1987. Sampling conducted in 1998
revealed the lateral extent of contamination under 15 feet from the excavation in all directions and less
than 20 feet below ground surface. The Regional Board letter concluded that"no further action" is
required.
LThe UST Program Fa ko Inventory by Faeility Name, dated April 11,2001,was also searched at the EHD
on October 18, 2005 for the names of Moffit,Paulus, and Brumley. No records were found for the
subject property.
L
AL3 San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services
The San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) web site was searched on November
17,2005 in an attempt to determine whether a hazardous materials inventory is on file for the subject
property. A Hazardous Materials Management Plan and Hazardous Materials Inventory were on file
for the Moffit Rice Dryer. According to the records, the only chemical on-site is propane, which is
stored in above-ground storage tanks. The maximum daily amount on-site is listed as 2,000 gallons.
LAccording to Michelle Halliwell of the OES,the following incident reports are on file at that agency for
the subject property or properties within one-quarter miles:
LLone Tree W. of Escalon-Bellota 6/25/93 Vegetable shortening abandoned
15658 Escalon-Bellota Rd. 4/8/99 1.5-2 gal Paraquat released to ground
,. The first incident involved a non-hazardous substance. The second incident was teportedly cleaned up
by company personnel. Due to the dates, nature, and location of these incidents,it is unlikely that any
impacts to the subject property from the incidents remain.
L
i
L7Sau Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services,Hazardous Materials Management Program Compliance
Database,http://sjoesdata.org/web_login_Menu.lasso.
sPersonal Communication,October 17,2005.
6
L
I
