KLEINFELDER
REPORT
GEOTECBNICAL INVESTIGATION
PROPOSED LONE TREE ESTATES,TRACT 2902
ESCALON, CALIFORNIA
I. INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of a geotechnical investigation performed for the proposed Lone
Tree Estates, Tract 2902 to be located east of Escalon Bellota Road and south of Lone Tree Road
in Escalon, California. A site plan and vicinity map showing the approximate location of the
proposed subdivision are presented on Plate A-1 of the appendix.
II. PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
We understand that the approximate 62-acre subdivision will contain 6 lots. For the purpose of
this report, we are assuming that construction will consist of one- and/or two-story, wood-
framed, single-family residential structures with either raised or concrete slab-on-grade floors.
Relatively-light structural loads on the order of 1,500 pounds per square foot or less are
anticipated. The location of the residence on each approximate 10-acre parcel is not known.
Additional details of the proposed development are not known to our firm at this time.
III. PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION
The purpose of our geotechnical investigation has been to explore and evaluate the surface and
subsurface soil conditions at the site and to provide recommendations for the items listed below.
We have also included a summary of geologic hazards and the results of percolation testing and
nitrate loading calculations. The scope of our services was outlined in our proposal dated
December 18, 1998.
This report contains the following information:
• Site plan and vicinity map showing the approximate locations of the
subdivision and the test borings drilled for this investigation
• Logs of test borings
• Results of laboratory and field percolation tests
• Recommended type and depth of foundations, including maximum
allowable soil bearing and lateral earth pressures
• Recommended support of concrete slab-on-grade floors
20-4280-01.001/2019R150 Page 1 of 12
Copyright 1999 Kleinfelder,Inc.
