November 18, 2008
Environmental- Engineering• Geology Project Number 2008021
Percolation Test Methods
Percolation tests where conducted on November 19, 2008 on four borehole locations.
Percolation tests where conducted in accordance with EHD Policy 02-02 —Policy for Percolation
Test. Procedure #2 was followed and a four hour percolation test was used. The last portion of
the tests where observed by a San Joaquin County Environmental Health representative.
An electric well sounder with depth accuracy of 1/100th foot was used to measure the
depth to water to a fixed reference point at the top of the pvc pipe. All deptif Values on the field
data sheet (appendix) are in decimal feet. After water drop was observed, the holes were
checked for refill. The refill level was approximately 0.5 ft(6 inches) of water above the bottom
level of the percolation test hole. The readings were taken every 30 minutes for a period of four
hours.
Percolation Test Form
Percolation test forms are located in the appendix.
Discussion of the Peculation Test Results
The soils in the area tested indicated an adequate percolation rate.
Parcel I —Test Hole I — 5.35!minutes per inch—Acceptable
Parcel 1 —Test Hole 2- 5.65 minutes per inch—Acceptable
Parcel 2—Test Hole 1 — 7.49 minutes per inch—Acceptable
Parcel 2—Test Hole 2— 8.60 minutes per inch-Acceptable
Based on the EHD Onsite Wastewater Disposal Standards a standard septic design may
be used.
1R SQUARED CONSULTING,INC.
