Housley Family Investments dba Housley Vineyards Winery(hereafter Discharger) submitted a <br /> Report of Waste Discharge (RWD) dated 5 June 2000 to treat and dispose of wastewater generated <br /> at a winery to be constructed. Additional information was submitted on 19 June 2000. <br /> 2. Housley Family Investments is a limited liability corporation and owns the property where the <br /> winery, tasting room, ancillary buildings, and surrounding vineyard will be located. <br /> 3. The winery buildings will be located on approximately 0.5-acre of a 20-acre parcel (Assessor's A <br /> Parcel No. 013-15-30) in Section 23, T4N,R6E,MDB&M, at 22111 Lower Sacramento Road, <br /> Aeampo in San Joaquin County. The location of the winery facility is shown on Attachment A, <br /> which is attached hereto and is made part of this Order by reference. T <br /> 4. Activities at the winery will include receiving, crushing and pressing of grapes, fermentation,processing into finished wines,bottling, and distribution. Wastewater from cleaning, crushing, <br /> defrost water, and equipment/floor cleaning water will be discharged to the wastewater treatment <br /> system. <br /> 5. The Discharger plans to produce up to 12,000 cases of wine per year(approximately 28,500 gallons <br /> per year). <br /> 6. Initial winery wastewater generation is projected to be 10,000 to 25,000 gallons per year, when the <br /> winery expands to full scale operation wastewater generation is projected to be 25,000 to 50,000 V <br /> gallons per year. The majority of the wastewater will be generated during the crush season from <br /> September to November. Wastewater generated the rest of the year will include tank cleaning <br /> water, defrost water,bottle cleaning water, and floor cleaning water. <br /> 7. Stormwater which falls on buildings or paved areas of the Discharger's facility will be drained into <br /> the surrounding vineyards. <br /> 8. During wine production,various chemicals are used as either an additive, a fining agent, or as a <br /> cleaner/sanitizer. These compounds may include the following: <br />
