Winery wastewater will be discharged to the vineyard. The cropland provides approximately 19 <br /> acres of application area. <br /> 14. The winery will be served by a well which will be located approximately 50 feet west of Lower <br /> Sacramento Road. An existing agricultural well located approximately 20 feet east of the winery <br /> building will be used for irrigation of the vineyards. The well locations are presented on <br /> Attachment B. <br /> 15. Groundwater in the existing irrigation well exists approximately 80 feet below the ground surface. <br /> The well was sampled on 6 June 2000; selected analytes are presented below. <br /> Analyze Units Concentration <br /> Total Hardness (CaCO) mg/l 115 <br /> Sodium mg/1 18 <br /> Potassium mg/1 4 <br /> Sulfate mg/1 7 <br /> Chloride mg/l 11 <br /> Nitrate(as Nitrate) mg/l 0.9 <br /> Spec. Domestic wastewater at the winery will be discharged to a 1,500-gallon septic tank located at the <br /> southeast comer of the winery building. Effluent from the septic tank will be distributed to three, <br /> 40-feet long, leach lines located at the south end of the winery building. The location of the septic <br /> system is presented on Attachment B. <br /> 17. Local land use consists of cropland (primarily vineyards), a few residences exist in the area. <br /> 18. Surface water drainage in the area of the site is to the Mokelumne River. The facility is within the <br /> Lower Mokelumne Hydrologic Area(No. 531.20), as depicted on interagency hydrologic maps <br /> prepared by the Department of Water Resources in August 1986. <br /> 19. The Board adopted a Water Quality Control Plan, Fourth Edition, for the Sacramento/San Joaquin <br /> River Basins (hereafter Basin Plan),which contains water quality objectives and beneficial uses for <br /> all waters of the Basin. These requirements implement the Basin Plan. <br /> 20. The beneficial uses of the Mokelumne River are municipal and domestic supply, agricultural <br /> supply for irrigation and stock watering, contact, canoeing, and non-contact recreation,warm and <br /> cold freshwater habitat, warm and cold water migration, warm and cold water spawning, and for <br /> wildlife habitat. <br /> 21. The beneficial uses of underlying groundwater are municipal and domestic water supply, <br /> agricultural supply, industrial service supply, and industrial process supply. <br /> cv,g.nk"VW-L7 <br />
