Winery wastewater will be discharged to the vineyard. The cropland provides approximately 19 acres of application area. 14. The winery will be served by a well which will be located approximately 50 feet west of Lower Sacramento Road. An existing agricultural well located approximately 20 feet east of the winery building will be used for irrigation of the vineyards. The well locations are presented on Attachment B. 15. Groundwater in the existing irrigation well exists approximately 80 feet below the ground surface. The well was sampled on 6 June 2000; selected analytes are presented below. Domestic wastewater at the winery will be discharged to a 1,500-gallon septic tank located at the southeast comer of the winery building. Effluent from the septic tank will be distributed to three, 40-feet long, leach lines located at the south end of the winery building. The location of the septic system is presented on Attachment B. 17. Local land use consists of cropland (primarily vineyards), a few residences exist in the area. 18. Surface water drainage in the area of the site is to the Mokelumne River. The facility is within the Lower Mokelumne Hydrologic Area(No. 531.20), as depicted on interagency hydrologic maps prepared by the Department of Water Resources in August 1986. 19. The Board adopted a Water Quality Control Plan, Fourth Edition, for the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Basins (hereafter Basin Plan),which contains water quality objectives and beneficial uses for all waters of the Basin. These requirements implement the Basin Plan. 20. The beneficial uses of the Mokelumne River are municipal and domestic supply, agricultural supply for irrigation and stock watering, contact, canoeing, and non-contact recreation,warm and cold freshwater habitat, warm and cold water migration, warm and cold water spawning, and for wildlife habitat. 21. The beneficial uses of underlying groundwater are municipal and domestic water supply, agricultural supply, industrial service supply, and industrial process supply. cv,g.nk"VW-L7
