The finer grained sediments are predominantly composed <br /> of rock flour washed out of the former extensive glaciers in the Sierras (Arkley, 1964). <br /> There are layers of clay and layers of hardpan throughout the Galt area. These layers are <br /> 1 <br /> not considered discontinuous, and communication between perched water, shallow <br /> aquifers and deeper aquifers are believed to occur in the Central Valley. <br /> Groundwater, in this area ranges from 50 to 70 feet from the surface with the gradient in <br /> the west to northwest direction. <br /> 3.4 Asbestos and Lead Based Paints <br /> An inspection was made of the property for asbestos and lead based paint related health <br /> hazards. Building materials that contain asbestos in a friable condition can pose a health <br /> hazard. Friable asbestos and lead based paint sources were not observed and analytical <br /> samples were not taken. <br /> Fi 1/ 3.5 Wells <br /> A water wells were not observed on the subject property. No oil or gas wells were listed <br /> F2§, <br /> within one half mule of the site. <br /> /3.6 Chemical Usage <br /> Historical chemical use on this site is believed to be limited to the normal application of <br /> agricultural chemicals. However, no crops are grown at the site and no chemical usage <br /> was determined during this assessment. <br /> l ✓ 3.7 Description of Disposal Practices <br /> r <br /> No evidence of historical waste or hazardous waste disposal was disclosed during_this <br /> assessment. <br /> 3.8 Underground Fuel Tanks <br /> FiEvidence of underground fuel tanks having ever been present on the subject property was <br /> not found during this audit.
