• Taft Detention Basin, 3707 S. EI Dorado, Site Mit/LOP list. This facility is
located over 1,000 feet northeast of the Site. It has a status of
"environmental assessment, inactive." Live Oak reviewed records on file
for this property at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department. According to a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
prepared by Smith Environmental Technologies in 1997, the property
was tested for pollutant metals, fuel constituents, pesticides, and
polychlorinated biphenyls. Only metals were detected, and Smith found
them to be within background levels. As a result, this property is not
anticipated to have impacted he subject Site.
Live Oak searched the San Joaquin County Haz Mat Viewer on February 19,
2018 for the Site and nearby facilities with hazardous materials inventories. Two
facilities were identified within one-quarter mile of the Site:
• Del Rio West Pallet, discussed above. The chemical inventory lists
diesel, oxygen, propane, and used lubrication oils as stored at this
facility. Based on its distance from the Site, this facility is not anticipated
to have impacted the subject Site.
• BonaDonnas, discussed above. The chemical inventory lists acetylene,
diesel, oxygen, paint, and used lubricating oils as stored at this facility.
Based on its distance from the Site, this facility is not anticipated to have
impacted the subject Site.
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
maps of Nitrate — Land Use Data and DBCP — Land Use Data, dated February
2019. Two wells that had been tested for nitrate were identified within one mile
of the subject Site; nitrate was not detected in one well, and was detected in the
other at a level between 0.1 and 5 mg/L-N. Two wells that had been tested for
dibromochloropropane (DBCP) were identified within one mile of the Site; DBCP
was not detected in either well. The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) set by
the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 45 mg/L (10 mg/L-N). The MCL for DBCP is 0.2
ug/L.
7.3 Agricultural Commissioner's Records
Because the Site has been residential land since 1937 or earlier, and records are
only available from the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
for the past five years, that agency was not contacted regarding agricultural use
of the site.
LOGE 1905 6
