The prpject site is located withiri the Stockton.Metropolitan Airport's (SMA) Area
of Influence, and pursuant to the State Aeronautics Act (Public Utilities Code
Section 21676), the project is also subject to a Consistency Determination by the
Sari Joaquin County ALUC. As a reminder to County staff, a comprehensive
updateto the 1993 Airport Land Use Plan(ALUCP)was completed for the county's
public II'use airports last year. The updated ALUCP was adopted on June 25, 2009
but did not include the SMA. This exclusion was due to unforeseen delays in the
completion of the airport's Master Plan Update and; therefore, all:projects within
Stoekton's influence area are subject.to the policies and criteria within the 1993
ALUCP, not the 2009 ALUCP. 4
CONSISTENCY REVIEW
t
The protect is for the installation of a 120 foot monopole communication tower,
five antennas and two microwave dishes within a 3,600 sq. ft. enclosed area. f
Within the 1993 ALUCP the SMA's Area of Influence is divided into subareas. In hh
each subarea, different land use standards; conditions, and restrictions apply: The I
project site is Iocated within the Conical Surface Zone and the proposed use is
consistent with the defined uses within this compatibility zone. The ALUC
requests that the project design take the relevant conditions into consideration:
