L <br /> LFebruary 1,2006 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05176A <br /> i 3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance <br /> L A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on January 19,2006. Photographs of �) <br /> the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is <br /> L attached to this report as Appendix D. <br /> At the time of the site visit, the subject property was observed to be a single-family residence and a <br /> vacant parcel covered in short seasonal grasses. The residence is currently being renovated.One small, <br /> empty shed was observed along the western edge of the property. A possible well was observed, <br /> Lhowever Mr. Ghio stated the residence is on a public water system. Because the ground was wet from <br /> ` recent rain at the time of the site visit,it was not possible to view the soils for evidence of staining or <br /> contamination. Domestic trash was observed along the property boundaries. A pile of trash was <br /> observed to the immediate south of the property,and a pile of furniture was observed to the east. No <br /> transformers were observed on or immediately adjacent to the subject property. <br /> Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site visit. To the north of the property was <br /> Florida Avenue,followed by single-family residences. To the east of the property was one single-family <br /> residence and Myran Avenue,then single-family residences and a vacant lot. To the west were single- <br /> family residences and vacant land being used to store miscellaneous debris. To the southwest of the <br /> property was a small commercial structure, the northern boundary of which appeared to be located <br /> exactly on the property line.
