All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the <br /> following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked With all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long these containers have been on site, immediately contact a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading for used oil filters <br /> for the last three years, maintain them on site,and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> The 55-gallon drum of used oil filters lacked an accumulation start date. Facilities that generate up to one ton of <br /> used oil filters per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil <br /> filters may store the filters for up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long these filters have been on <br /> site, immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. <br /> The 55-gallon drum of used oil filters was found with an unsecured lid and lacking an accumulation start date. Used <br /> oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil <br /> filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately properly close the container, and since it cannot <br /> be determined how long these filters have been on site, immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and <br /> submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD. Ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class 11. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Notes: <br /> -Waste streams observed: used oil, used antifreeze, used oil filters, metal fines, oily rags, used absorbent, and <br /> lead acid batteries. <br /> - Provided: Hazardous waste labels, Hazardous Waste Labeling Guidance, and list of free CUPA classes. <br /> -The amount of hazardous waste generated in the last calendar year could not be determined since the <br /> disposal records were not readily available. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> FAW10630 PRO514393 SCO01 062212018 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09122116 Page 6 of 7 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br />
