3. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES (Staff Contact: Rodney Estrada,468-0331) <br /> a. A soil suitability study,as required by Development Title Section 9-1105.2(d),which indicates that the <br /> area is suitable for a septic tank system must be performed prior to the issuance of a building permit. <br /> A review fee of$174.00 is required at the time of submittal to the Environmental Health Division. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on-site sewage standards of San Joaquin County <br /> prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of septic tank practice <br /> or the EPA design manual for on-site wastewater treatment and disposal systems is required for <br /> each parcel. A permit fee of$87.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> b. Construction of individual sewage disposal systems under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division is required at the time of development. (Development Title Sections <br /> 9-1110.3 and 9-1110.4) <br /> c. Should the number of non-resident individuals exceed 24 for at least 60 days per year, or the number <br /> of service connections exceed four,a yearly permit to operate a public water system will be required <br /> by the Environmental Health Division. (Development Title 22, Sections 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9) <br /> The supplier must possess adequate financial,managerial,and technical capability to ensure <br /> delivery of pure,wholesome,and potable drinking water in accordance with Development Title <br /> Sections 9-1120.2 and 9-1115.9,CCR,Title 22, and Health and Safety Code Sections 116525 <br /> through 116570. <br /> d. Refuse,garbage,and other solid waste material must be stored, removed,and transported to an <br /> approved landfill in accordance with San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Section 5-2400. <br /> 4. MANTECA-LATHROP FIRE DISTRICT (Staff Contact: J.R. Monty, 858-2331) <br /> a. The project must conform with the appropriate edition of the Uniform Fire Code (currently, the <br /> 1997 edition) and all related standards. <br /> b. Fire department facility fees are to be paid on any new structures in accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Ordinance and Resolution adopting the fee schedule (@ $0.14 per square foot). <br /> c. Fire extinguishers are required. <br /> d. The fire access road shall meet the San Joaquin County Public Works standards. <br /> e. A knox box security key box shall be provided. Applications are available at the fire district <br /> offices. <br /> f. The applicant's firewood area is currently being reviewed by the fire district. This type of storage <br /> is only allowed when stored as follows: <br /> (1) Piles shall be no larger than 50 feet by 50 feet. <br /> (2) The height shall be no taller than 8 feet. <br /> (3) A ten-foot-wide access way shall be clear between piles. <br /> Conditions of Approval - 3 - SA-00-35 <br />
