Analysis
Background
On January 19, 2000, the Community Development Department approved SA-00-82 to convert a produce
stand to a small agricultural store. The Conditions of Approval were not completed, and the approval
expired on July 31, 2002.
On April 17, 2003, the Planning Commission approved Use Permit No. PA-0300050 to convert a produce
stand to a large agricultural store. The original expiration date as October 26, 2004. On October 20,
2004, the applicants applied for a one-year Time Extension. The applicant states that management
problems with securing permits prevented the applicant from completing the project within the 18-month
period. If approved, the new expiration date will be October 26, 2005.
This project is currently under enforcement for operating a large agricultural store without benefit of the
required land use permit.
Revision of Approved Actions
Condition 1.c. regarding accelerated compliance dates for project completion is no longer necessary. The
Enforcement Division is recommending approval of the removal of this condition.
San Joaquin County PA-0300050\Gikas
Community Development Page 3
