Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
Two septic systems exist on the Site, one for each of the residences.
Proposed Septic System
There are no plans for construction on the Site. However, a second dwelling unit could
be placed on Parcel 1 sometime in the future. If so, it would utilize a new septic system.
On-Site Septic Permit History
One septic system permit for the Site was identified at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. This permit, dated December 1964, is for the
addition of one 50-foot leach line and one six-foot diameter by ten-foot deep seepage pit
to the residential system at 19238 E. Highway 120 (eastern residence).
Three permits related to water wells were also identified for the Site. All Site permits
are attached in Appendix 4.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Recent
aerial photo imagery from GoogleEarthTM was used. Each building cluster on the photo
was assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that a r
minimum of 36 septic systems per square mile exist in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of orchards with occasional rural residences. A church and
cemetery are located to the immediate north.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the -
area appear to utilize leach lines and sumps. The septic permits can be found in
( Appendix 4 of this report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expect eptic usage on the Site would be from the existing and any future
residential uses.. No c6pstruction is planned. Septic system design should be based on
the On-Site Wastey4ater Disposal Standards (2003) or other engineering
recommendations.----
LOGE
ecommendations—LOGE 1103 Page 2
