5 . 8 Socioeconomics <br /> The recovery of the mineral sands in this operation will result in the <br /> availability of this material to the general population of southern San <br /> Joaquin County, and the extension of an equivalent quantity of reserves <br /> located in other deposits . It is estimated that up to 10 jobs will be <br /> created to produce the material , and sales taxes will be paid on the <br /> sales value of the product . <br /> 5 . 9 Aesthetics <br /> The washing and screening facility and equipment used to excavate and <br /> transport the product will be visible from public highways to the north <br /> and west . Most of the quarry itself and activities occurring in the <br /> quarry will not be visible because the quarry will be necessarily below <br /> the original ground level . Reclamation of the mined areas will ensure <br /> that the area occupied by quarrying and washing activities is limited . <br /> Therefore, the visual impacts of the operation are not expected to <br /> change significantly from those that presently exist at the site . <br /> 5 . 10 Public Health And Safety <br /> It is imperative and understood that the proposed project will not be <br /> detrimental to the public health, safety or welfare, or be injurious to <br /> the property or improvements in the vicinity and district in which the <br /> property is located .
