Thompson & Folger West Page 3 of 16
Our Project Number: LES080594
February 10, 2008
In the 1940 photo, the property appears to be wetlands and agricultural land traversed with
irrigation channels. A structure is apparent at the northeast corner of APN 011-110-05.
Another structure is apparent at the southeast corner of APN 011-060-08. A third structure is
apparent on APN 011-060-01. Peltier Road and agricultural fields are apparent north of the
property. Hog Slough, wetland areas and agricultural land are apparent south of the property.
A structure and agricultural land are apparent to the east of the property as well as Mosely
Road and the railroad. Structures, agricultural land and a water channel are apparent west of
the property.
In the 1952 and 1963 photos, the property appears to be used for agricultural purposes with
some wetlands. The structures and irrigation channels apparent in the previous photograph are
present on the property. The surrounding land appears similar to the previous photo.
In the 1975 photo, no significant changes are apparent except for the construction of a canal
which extends from east to west on APN 011-110-05. The scale of this photo is such that
identifying close details is not possible.
In the 1983 photo, the property appears to be defined by field roads and canals and appears
relatively similar to the previous photograph. No other significant changes to the subject
property and the adjacent properties to the north, west and south are apparent, however,
Interstate 5 is evident to the east of the property.
In the 1993 photo, the property appears relatively similar to the previous photos; however, the
canal which extended diagonally from the southwest corner of APN 011-110-05 is no longer
apparent. Additionally, close up images of this photo reveal two structures at the southeast
corner of APN 011-060-08. Evidence of other structures on the property is not apparent. The
surrounding property appears similar to that of previous photos.
These photos are included in Appendix C of this report. NOA's ability to interpret the land
uses is limited by the scale and quality of the photos.
2.3 United States Geological Survey Topographic Maps
The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological
Survey,Thornton, California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute map dated 1978, was obtained
from Microsoft Terraserver.
In the 1978 map, the subject property is depicted as open land with irrigation channels and
three structures. The property is depicted approximately 0 to 5 feet above mean sea level.
Hog Slough is depicted south of the property and a waterway is depicted west of the property.
Surrounding properties are also depicted as open land with irrigation channels and scattered
structures. A pumping station is depicted at or near the southwestern corner of the property.
This map is included in Appendix C of this report.
902 Industrial Way• Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 C12009 Neil 0.Anderson 4.Associalcs.Inc.
