PA-0900273 OF CHARLES AND PAULINE <br /> VIEIRA (APN: 017-260-20) (11420 EAST PELTIER ROAD, ACAMPO) <br /> This.1 project is a Use Permit application for a kennel to be conducted within an existing 443 <br /> square foot portion of an existing residence along with a separate 1,800 square foot outdoor <br /> exercise area. The kennel primarily will be for breeding. Although the applicant expects a maximum <br /> capacity of twenty-five (25) dogs, .the applicant expects an average of two dogs per month. The <br /> dogs'will be kept indoors at night. (Use Type: Animal Specialty Services-Kennel) <br /> The :',project site is located on the south side of Peltier Road, 1,800 feet west of Elliott Road, <br /> Acampo. <br /> The General Plan designation is Limited Agriculture (AIL) and the zoning designation is Limited <br /> Agriculture, 5 acre minimum (AL-5). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the above-referenced application and <br /> has the following comments: <br /> Background <br /> I' <br /> The applicant applied for a Use Permit application on November 9, 2009. On November 13, <br /> 2009;, the Community Development Department received a complaint and opened an <br /> enforcement case (EN-0900611) on the subject property for the operation of a kennel without <br /> approved permits. <br /> Access <br /> The applicant has an existing thirteen foot paved driveway that is proposed for access. <br /> Development Title Section 9-1015.5(h)(1) states, "Access driveways shall have a width of no <br /> less than twenty-five (25)feet for two-way aisles and sixteen (16) feet for one-way aisles except <br /> that in no case shall driveways designated as fire department access be less than twenty(20)feet <br /> wide:" The minimum required twenty-five feet driveway width must be shown on the <br /> Improvement Plan. <br /> 1 <br />
