San Joaquin County Planing 2
length of pipe greater than 3001 . The entire system shall be
looped with no dead end mains .
4 . Hydrants
All hydrants shall conform to the Standard American Water Works
Association . Enclosed is the Woodbridge Fire District ' s policy on
hydrants . Hydrant spacing shall not be distributed more than 400 '
apart or no more than 200 ' from the building to be protected (see
last page) .
5 . Engineering Plans
Engineered plans showing mains, valves and hydrants shall be
submitted to this office for approval prior to installation of the
system.
6 . Streets and Cul-de-sacs
All streets are to be free of parking and of such width to allow
fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles to access all area .
Streets and water systems are to be in place and operating prior
to the start of construction .
This department feels this project is a major subdivision and not
a labor camp as shown . The 105 units of housing are 120, 750 sq.
ft . of construction . This figure does not take into account the
support buildings . In reality, these are 105 single family units
without a water system or sewer system and would create an
unnecessary burden on the fire district . We understand the need
for this type of housing, but feel this is the wrong location .
I trust you will take the fire protection problem into
consideration when reviewing this application.
Sincerely,
4HeJ.il/ ht, Fire Chief
HJW: SB
