Hazelton <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> RE : UP-93-15 <br /> This department has reviewed UP-93-15 and is opposed to the <br /> development of a labor camp in this location for the following <br /> reasons . <br /> 1 . Traffic <br /> This is a major intersection at Lower Sacramento Road and Peltier <br /> Road . Both roads are major thoroughfares handling large volumes <br /> i of traffic twice daily . Both roads are also high speed roads <br /> utilizing both automobiles and large trucks . <br /> This intersection has been the scene of numerous accidents . The <br /> preplan drawing shows a single drive opening out on both Lower <br /> Sacramento Rd. and Peltier Rd. which will greatly increase the <br /> likelihood of more accidents . <br /> A 105 unit subdivision will greatly increase the traffic flow at <br /> this intersection . <br /> 2 . Water <br /> The area is without a community water system and will require a <br /> fire flow of 1500 gallons per minute for a duration of two hours <br /> i minimum. Residual water pressure of 20 psi is required during <br /> flow. <br /> A power backup generator shall be installed to handle the water <br /> system in case of a f <br /> Y power outage . <br /> 3 . Water Mains <br /> Minimum size of mains shall be 8" . The system shall be installed <br /> so that a single break in any feature of the supply works will not <br /> prevent delivery of maximum daily consumption plus standard fire <br /> flows . Sufficient valves shall be provided so that no single <br /> accident breakage or repairs will necessitate shutting down a <br />
