Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Water Well Data Table dated March 10, 2009 for nearby addresses that have
been tested for nitrate and dibromochloropropane (DBCP). A total of 22
sampling events were identified at wells within three-quarters of a mile of the
Site. Of these, 14 events included sampling for DBCP; it was detected in 11 of
the events at concentrations ranging from 0.12 to 6.7 Ltg/L. A total of 11
sampling events included nitrate; it was detected in 10 of the events at
concentrations ranging from 2.6 to 56.0 mg/L. The Maximum Contaminant Level
(MCL) set by the US EPA for nitrate as NO3 is 45 ppm. The MCL for DBCP is
0.2 Etg/L. Based on the data consulted, it appears that much of the ground water
in the vicinity of the Site contains DBCP in excess of the MCL. The data indicate
that nitrate is present in the area, but is encountered for the most part at levels
below the MCL.
7.3. Agricultural Commissioner's Records
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office was contacted
regarding agricultural use of the site. According to Hiromi Hernandez of that
office, no chemical use records were identified for the Site (personal
communication, September 26, 2014).
7.4 Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources Maps
The California Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR)
Online Mapping System (DOMS) was queried on September 30, 2014 for
mapped oil or gas wells within one-quarter mile of the subject Site. No wells
were identified within the search area.
7.5 National Pipeline Mapping System Database
Live Oak reviewed the National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) database on
September 30, 2014 for evidence of hazardous materials pipelines within one-
quarter mile of the Site. A hazardous liquid pipeline was identified running along
the railroad tracks approximately one-quarter mile west of the Site. According to
NPMS, the pipeline contains "multi-products," is in service, and is operated by
SFPP. A natural gas transmission pipeline operated by Pacific Gas & Electric
Company is located approximately three-quarters of a mile north of the Site.
Local pipelines which are not mapped by the NPMS may be present.
LOGE 1416 7
