FISCAL IMPACT:
Mr. George has paid $1,375 in application fees for an Agricultural Excavation Permit and a Site
Improvement Plan. Staff has attended numerous meetings (no less than seven which includes several
site visits) and prepared a number of reports and letters (approximately nine). Although time records were
not kept, it is estimated the associated costs for staff time are in excess of $5,000 to date.
A potential fiscal impact associated with Mr. George's application is for damages to upstream and
downstream property owners, as well as Mr. George's own property, due to erosion, sedimentation and
flooding, if the project is not done correctly.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL:
None.
- - - Sincere'
CHET DAVISSON
DiRECTOR
CD:TMG:ss
GX95-1 B.LTR
Enc.
c: John Pulver, Department of Public Works
Ken Kjeldsen, Kjeldsen, Sinnock and Neudeck
Dan Gifford, Department of Fish and Game
Mitch Hayden, Army Corps of Engineers
ROS LETTER PAGE 4
