Date: March 24, 1999 <br /> Re: Use Permit Application (Truck Terminal & Mini Storage) <br /> For: Mr. Trucker, Inc. <br /> 4100 South US 99 Frontage Road <br /> APN 179-172-04 <br /> Subj: Employees/Customers per Work Shift <br /> Application Narrative <br /> TRUCK TERMINAL: <br /> The function of the proposed Truck Terminal is to relocate our existing terminal located at 2710 Loomis Road, <br /> Stockton, CA. to this proposed site for the purpose of providing more space and a better working environment. <br /> Our trucking terminal primarily provides trucking services for construction projects, consisting of the hauling of <br /> aggregates, sand, asphalt concrete, etc from various batch plants and sites to construction projects. We also <br /> provide hauling for various waste products to approved landfill stations for numerous contractors and agencies. <br /> Since the nature of our business is to provide hauling of construction related materials our proposed truck <br /> terminal will primarily provide truck& trailer parking along with truck servicing. During the construction months <br /> our trucks & trailers will be on the road from approx 6:00 - 7:00 am till 5:00 pm, 5-6 day per week, <br /> During the off construction season our times of operation will remain the same however the volume of outgoing <br /> and incoming trucks varies according to weather conditions and projects. <br /> Therefore since our trucks are on the road all day long, with the exception of occasional refueling and servicing <br /> at the site we will only have approx. 5-6 full time employees on site during the day time hours and 5- 6 <br /> employees working an evening shift to service the trucks and trailers, approx. hours would be between 5:00 pm <br /> and 11:00 pm , 5-6 day a weeks for the evening shift. Due to the nature of our business customer visits to the site <br /> would be occasional, possibly 2-3 customers per date including parts delivery, 5 days a week. <br /> Our vehicle trips in and trips out would be the following: <br /> Truck & Trailer 50 out in the am & 50 in the pm <br /> Misc Trucks during Day 10 in & 10 out (20%) <br /> Employees (Day) 25 in & 25 out, includes lunch & errands <br /> Employees (Night) 8 in & 8 out, includes errands <br /> Customers & Delivery 5 in & 5 out <br /> Total estimated trips in is 98 and trips out is 98 per day during peak construction season for the Truck Terminal. <br /> MINI STORAGE UNITS: <br /> The mini storage units will most likely be open 7 days a week from 8:00 am till 6:00 pm. It is anticipated that <br /> most of the units will be used by the medical, legal and professional fields for storage of files, etc. However we <br /> also anticipate residential/commercial users for a portion of the storage units. One (1) employee will manage the <br /> facility on a daily basis. A total of 366 units is proposed and we are assuming that on an average approx. 2% <br /> will be accessed daily, which would mean 7.32 trips in and 7.32 trips out daily plus a total of 4 in and out trips <br /> for the employee. <br /> The combined total is : 9.32 trips in <br /> 9.32 trips out <br />
