Soil conditions were found to be <br /> comparable in all four borings. However, based on the percolation rates observed- described later in <br /> the report - , the deep soil zone has demonstrated a satisfactory percolation rate according to <br /> L the EHD. <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION <br /> L 6.1 Percolation Test Boring Locations <br /> LTwo percolation tests were performed on May 20, 2004, and two percolation tests were <br /> performed on May 28, 2004. One shallow and one deep percolation test were performed in <br /> each of the proposed septic disposal fields for Phases I and II of the project. The locations of <br /> 6. these tests are indicated in Plate 1. <br /> 6.2 Boring Preparation and Specifications <br /> In the Phase I septic disposal area, the shallow boring was advanced to three feet, but backfill <br /> reduced the depth of the test hole to 2.75 feet. The deep boring was advanced to 25 feet, but <br /> backfill reduced the depth of the test hole to 22.77 feet. In the Phase II disposal field, the <br /> shallow boring was advanced to three feet, but backfill reduced the depth of the test hole to <br /> 2.81 feet. The deep boring was advanced to 25 feet, but backfill reduced the depth of the test <br /> hole to 23.10 feet.
