Permitted Uses <br /> Restaurants are classified under the use type"Eating Establishments — Full Service" (Development <br /> Title Section 9-115.425(b)) which may be conditionally permitted in the I-L zone with an approved <br /> Site Approval application. Over the years live music, special events and dancing have been <br /> permitted and held on-site as accessory to the restaurant. In order to operate a dance club as a <br /> main use the use type would be"Liquor Sales-On Premises General" (Development Title Section 9- <br /> 115.480(a)). The I-L(Limited Industrial)zone does not permit this use type. <br /> Sheriff's Department <br /> Lieutenant Moreno of the Sheriffs Department contacted the Community Development Department <br /> on September 28, 2006. The Sheriffs Department is recommending that the restrictions approved <br /> by the Planning Commission on March 3, 2005 remain intact and the Revisions of Approved <br /> Actions application be denied. <br /> Neighborhood Opposition <br /> The Community Development Department has received a petition with 54 signatures (dated <br /> September 19, 2006) from the adjacent mobile home park requesting that no changes be made to <br /> the original modifications placed on Use Permit 295 and 315. <br /> The Use Permit application has been tentatively scheduled for the Planning Commission hearing <br /> on November 2, 2006. The Community Development Department has reviewed the project and <br /> responses from other agencies and will be recommending denial of the Revisions of Approved <br /> Actions and that the previously approved modifications remain. <br /> 2 <br />
