December 15, 2004
NOA Project Number: E04152A
Page 2
and Mobile Home No. 1. The test indicated that the percolation rate is probably greater than 42
minutes per inch at three hours. The test was not performed in accordance with the EHD
standards due to lack of available project time to schedule an EHD inspection. The percolation
test was performed to provide our office some idea of the soil type and the percolation rate. The
soil type was found to be lean to fat dark gray clay, slightly moist from recent rains.
Our recommendations are that there is room for the motel septic system and 100% replacement
area as shown on the attached sheets. The existing septic systems should be repaired as needed
under permit with the EHD. There appears to be some repair area available adjacent to the two
mobile homes and restaurant for their septic systems. This letter and the system drawings should
be submitted to the EHD for review. The EHD will require a plan review fee of$186. If the
review is expedited, the fee will increase.
It is possible that any properly designed and constructed septic system may require repairs within
years following construction. In no way can we offer a guarantee or warranty that the septic
system will not require repair in the future. The purpose for the 100%replacement area is to
allow enough room for repair should it be required in the future.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our recommendations
proposed in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This
warranty is in lieu of all other warranties either expressed or implied. Test findings and
statements of professional opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or
implied. If there are any questions please contact our office.
Best Regards,
NEIL O.
