M KLEINFELDER
6. sewer system, and any on-site sewage disposal systems will be abandoned. For this reason, the
Phase 2 construction was also included in our nitrate loading study.
For the purpose of our phase 2 nitrate loading calculation, we have estimated the average
waste/sewage flow per day over a typical one week period for both the existing and proposed
new leach fields as follows:
School (Assume 30 percent of students will use cafeteria)
(105 students x 15 gal./day x 5 days)/7 day week = 1125 gal./day
(45 students x 25 gal./day x 5 days)/7 day week = 804 gal./day
Day Workers
(10 workers x 30 gal./day x 5 days)/7 day week = 215 gal./day
` Church
(299 seats x 5 gal./seat x 2 days)/7 day week = 428ag 1./day
TOTAL = 2,572 gal./day
A site plan showing the Phase 1 and 2 layouts is attached.
L
2. PRESENT AND PAST USE
` Based on information provided to us by Pastor Kihlthau, we understand that the site was
occupied by a California Highway Patrol District office during the 1950's, a toy warehouse
during the 1960's to early 1970's, and an American Telephone & Telegraph office during the (z./)
late 1970's to early 1990's. We understand that the Stockton Baptist Church purchased the
properly in August of 1992. Aerial photographs reviewed prior to 1950 suggest the site was
occupied by agriculture.
We understand the 5.6-acre project site is zoned AU(Agricultural-Urban Reserve). At the time
of our study, the western portion of the relatively level site was occupied by a church building,
paved parking, and irrigated play fields. An existing on-site leach field is located in a playfield
immediately northeast of the church building. The modular buildings for the Phase 1 and 2 (
` additions, along with a modular classroom that is already in use, were already in place in the
north-central portion of the site. The new sewage disposal system will be located in an
irrigated playfield located south of two of the modular buildings. The south-central portion of
` the facility consisted of a plowed field. An existing well is located about 200 feet southwest
from the proposed new leach field.
3. SEPTIC PERMITS AND PERFORMANCE
Nine septic permits were on file with SJCEHD for the subject property and an adjacent parcel. (3.113.2
` Copies of the permits are attached. One of the permits was for a septic system construction and
the others were apparently for repairs/additions. Please see the attached table (Plate 4) for a
L summary of permit information. Copies of the permits are presented on Plates 5 through 14.
40141.G0IIST04R206 February 24,2004
©2004 Meinfelder,Inc. Page 2 of 7
