Section III.C. 2.d. (1)d
requires a 300 foot clearance between the intru-
sions maximum extension and the undeveloped oppo-
site bank at mean low low water. The purpose of
this criterion is to maintain a 100-foot unre-
stricted navigation channel at a distance of 200
feet from shoreline structures. This standard
may be waived if the project is built in an area
where other developments have occurred. Thus,
a waiver is appropriate in this case.
The second standard (Section III.C. 2.d(2) (c) )
limits commercial shoreline developments to a
maximum extension along the shoreline of 350
feet. This standard may also be waived if a
determination is made that the additional frontage
is necessary for a commercially feasible facility.
-C2-
