The Assessor's Parcel Number of the property is 092-180-08, and
a map showing the parcel location is attached. The purpose of our study was to determine the
suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in general accordance
to the requirements of Section 9-101000 of San Joaquin County Ordinance. The following
includes background information regarding the proposed development, past and present use of
the site, existing septic tank performance and permitting, and the groundwater conditions in the
project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site
conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are
presented. Finally, our project limitations are provided.
1. SITE DESCRIPTION/PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
We understand the 1.7-acre project site is zoned I-L (Limited Industrial). We understand the
subject property is to contain a new one-story office building and parking/storage area for Gillies
Trucking, Inc., currently located at 3931 North Newton Road, the adjacent property to the north.
At the time of our study, the relatively level site contained no structures, large trees, or drainage
features, and up to about 2 to 3 feet of fill materials hadbeen placed over a maiority of the
property. We understand that a single-family residence an arn/shed have recently been
removed/demolished from the property, however, the existing domestic well and septic system
were left in place for future office use. We also understand that in preparation for use for the
proposed office, the septic system had been repaired and had additions made in 2001. Please see
the attached plan for the existing site location. This study is being required by the San Joaquin {
County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD).
i
37210.601 /ST031,664 November 19,2003
O 2003 Kleinfelder,Inc.
