*ftafl *Awe
October 14,2004
NOA Project Number: E04112A
4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
There is no reason to believe that the threat to the subject property from the historic dairy is any greater
than that posed to all properties in the area.
From the information available at the EHD,it was not possible to determine whether the nearby drug
lab cases may have impacted groundwater beneath the subject property, though it does not seem likely
due to their distance from the property.
The empty drum and other debris adjacent to the subject property do not appear to pose an immediate
threat to the property.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
WSW
The debris identified on the subject property should be removed from the site and disposed of in
accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Given the likely historical use of agricultural chemicals on the subject property, meaningful conclusions
regarding the presence or extent of such material cannot be determined without soil sampling and
analysis.
Should new construction require the development of domestic wells, EHD should be contacted for
direction regarding possible impacts to groundwater from the agricultural history of the vicinity and the
nearby drug lab case.
•• If Mr.Huerta or the EHD are concerned about potential nitrate problems on the subject property from
its past use as a hog farm,a soil sample from the vicinity of the former structures could be collected and
analyzed to determine soil quality.
•
The debris pile at the southwest corner of the subject property should be periodically monitored to
insure that no hazardous substances which could potentially impact the property are disposed at that
+ location.
If any suspect or hazardous materials are identified during site grading or development, those materials
`• should be removed from the site and disposed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
This report was compiled as a Surface/Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject property. This
report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in no way warrants ,
... the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those sources. 01
9
