October 14,2004 NOA Project Number: E04112A 3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination No potential above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from past uses of the site, except for the following: • The subject property was used in the past as hog farm. Elevated levels of nitrogen may be present on the property from that use. • Because of the age of the former structures on the subject property,it is possible that lead-based paints and/or asbestos-containing materials were used in their construction. • Underground infrastructure from the former structures may remain on the property. 3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination No above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from r current uses of the site, except for the following: • Surface debris, including an inoperable tractor, wood, household trash, and paint cans, was 3) observed on the property. 3.4 Past Off-Site Potential Sources of Contamination No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were identified from past uses of surrounding properties, except for the following: • A dairy was historically located adjacent to the subject property. A drug lab which impacted the septic system was detected at a nearby residence. The owner of that property was instructed by the EHD to sample the domestic well for hazardous chemicals. The results of the testing were not available. One additional drug lab incident was r. identified within one-quarter mile of the subject property. 3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were identified from current uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following: • A pile of debris,including an empty drum,lies adjacent to the subject property to the southwest. 8
