July 1,2003
NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE03-201
The subject property is essentially flat. There is a house on the south portion of the property, roughly
centered in the east/west directions. The northern portion of the property, as well as the land east
and west of the house,is pasture land. The only stressed vegetation on the subject property consists
of seasonally dry grasses and weeds. There is one industrial drum on the subject property;the drum
is empty and appears to have been so for quite some time (see Photograph 4). The area where the
drum was found is devoid of vegetation. There is no apparent staining of the soil and the shape of
the bare area suggests that a structure was covering the area until recently. There are tires on the
subject property, most of them marking the locations of the sprinkler heads(see Photographs 5 and
6). Within a shed, on the west side of the subject property, is one automotive battery (see
Photograph 7). Lumber is stored on the subject property. There was one bath tub located on the
south side of the pasture land. There are no transformers on the subject property, itself, however,
to the south, across East Norman Avenue, there are two transformers, one near the east boundary 3
of the subject property the other within 250 feet to the west of the subject property. The
transformers appear old but clean and without leaks (see Photographs 8 and 9).
VIII. FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
The subject property consists of a residence and vacant land. The vacant land could be described as
pasture as the seasonally dry grasses and weeds appear to be oats. During the 1960s, the subject
property appeared to be agricultural. There appear to have been two separate residences on the
property over time. There are numerous tires on the subject property, most of which are used for
marking sprinkler system heads. There is one automotive battery stored on the property, within the
shed on the west side of the residence. There is one industrial drum on the subject property. The
drum appears to have been empty for quite some time. The drum is in an area devoid of vegetation.
The shape of the bare area suggests that there was a structure in the area around the drum.
IX. RECOMMENDATIONS
It is NOA's opinion that further investigation into the subject property is neither warranted nor
recommended.
