2.2 Proposed Development
A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into a three-acre homesite parcel and
a 37-acre designated remainder. No changes in use of the Site are proposed.
23 Topography
A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map was obtained from the
San Joaquin County District Viewer, In the map, the Site is depicted as open
agricultural land with two structures at its southwest corner. An intermittent stream or
irrigation ditch is depicted crossing the western half of the Site. The property is
approximately 65 feet above mean sea level and is relatively flat. Surrounding
properties are shown to be open agricultural land, orchard, and vineyard. This map is
included as Plate 3 in Appendix 1.
.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH
3.1 Aerial
Photographs
Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County
Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1937,
1952, 1963, and 1975. Two additional photographs, dated October 1998, and June
2067, were obtained from the San Joaquin County District Viewer.
In the 1937 photo, the Site appears to be irrigated agricultural land used for row or
fodder crops. The large barn can be seen in a cleared area near the southwest corner
of the Site. The surrounding properties appear to be irrigated agricultural land,
orchards. and vineyards.
In the 1952 photo, the main house, office, and pole barn can be seen on the Site. Most
of the surrounding properties are now orchards. Additional building clusters can be
seen on the adjacent properties to the west and south.
In the 1963 photo, the Site has been planted with orchard. No other significant changes
are apparent.
In the 1975 photo, no significant changes are apparent. The scale of the photo does
not allow identification of details in the area of the structures.
In the 1998 photo, the modular home can be seen to the north of the main house on the
Site. Additional building clusters are present to the south and west.
LOGE 1319 Page 2
